Terms of Service

Garage Sale Tracker is a free, community-focused app for posting and finding local garage sales. By using the app you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English so you can actually read them.

The app, in short

Garage Sale Tracker lets people post their garage sales on a map, save sales they want to visit, build day-routes through them, and message sellers with questions. It's free to use. It's run by one person (Missa) as a side project — there's no company, no investors, no ad network.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion is permanent and cascades to all your content.

Things you post

• You own the content you post — sale listings, photos, descriptions, messages.
• By posting it, you give the app permission to store and display it for the purpose of running the service.
• You're responsible for accuracy. If you post a sale at the wrong address or time, that's on you to fix or remove.
• Don't post anything illegal, harassing, sexually explicit, hateful, or obviously spammy. Don't post anyone else's sale without their okay.
• We reserve the right to remove content that breaks these rules and, in extreme cases, suspend accounts.

Be decent to each other

The messaging feature is for coordinating real-world meetups. Don't send spam, threats, or unwanted advances. Don't ask sellers for things that aren't related to their sale. If someone messages you in a way that feels off, you can delete the thread. If it crosses a line, email missap1214@gmail.com and we'll handle it.

Meeting in person

Garage sales happen in the real world. Garage Sale Tracker just shows you the map — we're not a party to anything that happens between buyer and seller. Use common sense:

• Meet during posted sale hours, not after.
• Bring a friend if you'd feel safer.
• Cash deals don't have receipts; inspect items before paying.
• If something feels off, leave.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is." It might have bugs. Sales might end early. Routes might miss something. We do our best, but we can't guarantee that posted sales are accurate, that the route is the actual fastest, or that the app will be available 100% of the time. Use it as a tool, not gospel.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Garage Sale Tracker isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. We're a free, community-built tool — please use it as one.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms. We'll always tell you why and let you appeal.

Changes

If these terms change in any meaningful way, the "Last updated" date will change and you'll see an in-app notice next time you sign in.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota.
